Total of 7 now - I'm waiting for a new shipment of 10 to arrive soon. Not the best start to the year for me.

+2, 6. Clipped something with the rear tyre while on the aerobars, riding next to cars... and seconds before having to take a slip lane from the on-road cycle lane. Rear end was all over the place, but I managed to get off the road an pull up. And then I couldn't for the life of me work out where the puncture was, as no latex sealant was visible. I put a tube in it, CO2'ed and latex came out a small split on the sidewall.
About 10km later, just as I pulled into the work carpark, the rim bumped when going over the concrete lip... about 30 seconds later I was rolling on the rim. Tyre & tube now hanging on a hook on the wall and I've fitted the spare tyre I keep in the backpack.

First one discovered a flat just as i was jumping on the bike last week (rear). Fixed that one and decided to redo that and replace the tube in the front wheel as well on the weekend. Rode it to work no dramas, get back on it in the arvo and the front is flat.
Third one this morning, front is flat again when jumping on the bike. This time a tiny knick in the tube, glass in the tyre working into the tube possibly due to riding through the storms this week. Another flat not out on the road so at least the last 3 have been pretty friendly!
start total = 1 +3
1491 kms (706kms)
0x hybrid
0x racer (0/0 conti gp4000s)
2x fixie rear (conti gp4000s)
2x fixie front (kenda koncept - still going after 9000kms!)
New total = 4 (AT) 373kms per flat

6 was on wednesday, hit a rock while doing a TT effort and went down rapidly
7 was today and was Twizzel's fault. Went out along the Manaro Hwy and pick up a bit of glass.

I forgot how bad the Kendas get at the end of their life. With the flat in the morning, got another one at the start of the ride home. Lucky i fixed the tube during the day. Unfortunately 4kms from home i got another flat. With no remaining spare tubes i decided to trash the tube and tyre by riding home on it.
start total = 4 +2
1524 kms (15/30kms)
0x hybrid
0x racer (0/0 conti gp4000s)
2x fixie rear (conti gp4000s - this one retired after discovering chunks out of the back from emergency stopping)
4x fixie front (kenda koncept - retired after 9400kms!)
New total = 6 (AT) 254kms per flat

I really must do something about my dead tube collection, I've got about 20 hanging on the coat rack and a mate gave me a bag full of punctured tubes the other day.

A car bumbped me from behind on the way to work. Bent the rear wheel and busted the tyre. No damage done to me and driver paid for a new wheel.
Total 8 now.

A sliver of steel or some other metal pierced the tyre and came out the sidewall. just clipping the tube on the way through.
+1 = 6 in total (AT) 337km/flat.

Out early this morning, still pretty much dark outside and I hit *something*.
I still have absolutely no idea what it was, but it was big, hard, and nearly threw me straight off the bike when I hit it.
End result is that I managed to stay on the bike, but the front tyre went flat in about 3 seconds.
Got to do my first tyre change on the side of the road which was fun ...

Yeah I know tempting fate, a bit over 8K on the current tyre set I reckon there's maybe another 4K to go, they've been good for not getting cuts, much less punctures. The race tyres have done about 300kms & I've repaired heaps of cuts on them.
See how long it is before the current commute/training tyres go before giving in.

Had a quick rear deflation on Sunday, just as I came down a quick descent and ready to power up the other side when I heard a flap-flap-flap-pssssss at about 50km/h. No corners so was safely upright.
Stuck in the sun, between dirty/crappy shoulder covered with nasty looking ants and rubbish on one side and 6 lanes of traffic on the other wasn't the best place to stop but whatta-ya-gonna do?
Good excuse to make a PBK order for more tubes plus a couple of extras of course.

Riding along road and I heard a weird noise coming from the rear tyre. I didn't actually recognise it as a flat straight away, I actually thought that I'd got something stuck in the rear spokes and it was just making noise as the wheel went around. Turns out the noise was actually just all the air gushing out of my tyre.
Pulled over into a little side street, and long story short I found a pretty decent piece of glass pierced through the rear tyre.
On a side note, the speed lever and co2 canisters have been worth their weight in gold this week!

The Maxxis Refuse have let me down. Riding down Galston Gorge, felt the back end go a bit squishy through a corner. Stopped and checked and a shard of glass had gone through. it was about 2mm square at the base, and about 8mm long (same width as my pinky fingernail) and had gone straight in. I guess that it's fair enough to let something like that through impressed that it was actually just a slow leak - the bike had felt a bit kinda wrong for about the last km or so.
Thanks to the Black Ford Territory and the Northern Syd Cycle club rider who stopped and asked if I was ok.

Despite only done 11k since returning to cycling, I've managed to run over a screw, which screwed my tube. Did manage to save the tyre by patching it

Been crook for week and just starting to feel better so thought I would attempt a few kms. 2kms in and get a flat due to a small thorn. Patched it took it as a bad omen and went home.

Heading out to Kurnell for a good crack at a TT effort. Less than a km into it with the morning sun directly in my eyes and about to power up a little rise the rear let go quickly, wobbled a bit then pulled up to find not only a flat but nice busted sidewall in my Conti GP4000s. Tyre was one of a pair new in Jan. and had just been moved from the front to rear because I fitted a brand new one on the front on Thursday night (my other tyre got sliced right through about a month previously, two conti's KO'd in the space of 4 months!). No idea what happened, watched plenty of riders roll past without incident while I patched it as best I could and limped home.

Out to the shed, grab MTB for a quick 20 of local trails and a bit o' feral but the front wasn't happy about the idea. Picked up a chunk of boxthorn last time out, prolly just after I went OTB Easy patch job (them folding bead Nevagals slip off real easy) and away.
That's TWO.
