Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate. What we need is a member of the state senate from a 'cycling party' it only takes about 2% of vote to get there, just like the shooters party.
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Aah, the 'spin king' is in even more of a spot of bother.

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Excellent. Obviously George Defteros thinks it's a cert, as it should be....and hopefully it will cool a few idiot hotheads, and temporarily slow the rate of maiming and killing.

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.I doubt we will hear much more - likely to be an out of court settlement with confidentiality clause.

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Tweets as form of evidence? Glad he finally decided to come out. His account was 10x more articulate than Shame's. Now, I wonder if the court will expose SW's ignorance of road rules. Get back into a chauffeur-driven Merc Shane! You are a menace on the road! C'mon Mexican cyclists, make a presence in the court. Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.
I fear this is how it will pan out, but I hope it doesn't and Warne's ignorance is exposed. I think the organisation that should be most ashamed out of this is the Vic Police. Very poor showing on their part. Life is not about waiting for the rain to pass.....it's about learning to dance (or ride) in the rain.

LOL - I've suggested this a few times over the years. Tempting, very tempting. I ride, therefore I am.

The cyclist does not have to agree with the confidentiality clause. He would have to be very convincing to make me sign a clause like that..... something that would pay off my mortgage for example. Jon Jon's bikes.......

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Lots of "run the cyclist oxygen thieves down" comments being generated on twitter.
I dont think a guilty finding will change many people's minds unfortunately.....
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.
which is probably what he's hoping for. i think the evidence shows who was the culprit here, but i'm withholding my judgment on the motivations of mr holingsworth. still, it's a free country, i'm not complaining if he fleeces warnie. some people deserve to be taken for a ride, so to speak.
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.

It was because of SW's Twitter rant that prompted the action from the aggrieved:

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.
I'm guessing it is just like any car accident. Warney's insurance company writes a cheque. He's only asking for the cost of damage to the bike. That's what a fool does. I'm invincible, I'm paying money ... uh ... The girl's happy, she's got no money, I got my rocks off. How good is this?
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Love this tweet:
I wonder if the court finds in favour of the cyclist, the judge can compel SW to post an apology on his Twitter account? Amateur oenologist and green-friendly commuter.
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.
No, not possible. its a civil matter about making good damage caused to an item. It is however hilarious how quickly the newspapers turned on him though.
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.
you'll find that the people that post such comments, are the type to always complain no matter what the subject; They would argue that the sky was green.. just for the sake of having an opinion or even worst, feel some what self- important. (example being Warne It always amazes me why the even bother. Its like a crank going round 'n' round to me If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.I'll move to Melbourne - that'll sort him out.
Why the heck wasnt it a hit & run??? He deliberately drove his car into a person???
Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.
Answer: A) It's not important, it's only a cyclist involved B) It's a celebrity involved, they don't do bad things /sarcasm

Re: Ah Warney, stick to spin bowling mate.Just to add to this, some might remember that I was assaulted in May 2011.
27 WEEKS LATER, the police had finally got a photographic lineup for me to look at. I might mention that of the 12 photos that I looked at, they might have all been brothers. In that time the person had changed their appearance completely and it was impossible for me to identify him. The police just arent interested. I wonder what would have happened if I had retaliated and given the guy something to think about. I bet the police would have been quick to have me arrested . . . I hope this guy gets Shane Warne and then some cheers Glenn -----------
