That's pretty pathetic and low considering how he cultivates this demographic to support him and no doubt some of them just dismiss his immaturity as larrikinism. I wonder if more people were aware of this type of behaviour, that'd lessen his "hero" status.

Many of the tradies he shafts are probably big fans and don't mind it (otherwise you'd think word would get around tradie circles to avoid him).

I hope they get at least a photo and an autograph from him so they can sell them on ebay and get payment that way. What a top bloke.

Problem there is autographed pics of a bloke like Warne are worth nothing because he has probably signed a billion times, just like the late Peter Brock did.

The more prolific the autographer (sic) the more autographs there are in circulation and the lower the value of the autograph.

I was given this lesson by a collector a few years ago so these days I go out of my way to get autographs by below-the-radar celebs. Stephane Peterhansel cap, anyone?

IT's quite simple: SOMETIMES ONE HAS TO SPEAK TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVERS LIKE CHILDREN

FIND THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLOW DOWN, OVERTAKE WHEN SAFE TO DO SO. Not too hard at all......Is it?

Let's try again..

FIND THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLOW DOWN, OVERTAKE WHEN SAFE TO DO SO.

Oh dear, it is really that hard..... lets have another look.

FIND THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLOW DOWN, OVERTAKE WHEN SAFE TO DO SO.
FIND THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLOW DOWN, OVERTAKE WHEN SAFE TO DO SO.
FIND THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLOW DOWN, OVERTAKE WHEN SAFE TO DO SO.
FIND THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLOW DOWN, OVERTAKE WHEN SAFE TO DO SO.

There we are. Now try again.......................??????????????????

Now it's Warne's Porn

In the news today:
"Spin king Shane Warne has become embroiled in a porn scandal after ads for his online poker business appeared on a website with adult videos. The site, which shows explicit adult material, also treated readers to a grinning Warne gambling chips and throwing poker cards towards the camera, News Limited reported. According to Warne's manager, James Erskine, the ads had appeared on the site without the knowledge of the former Test star. "No, Shane nor I were aware of the 888 Poker Site appearing on porn sites, Mr Erskine said. "Thank you for informing us, we will look into it. Shane Warne is no stranger to controversy, having gone through a number of scandals including his most infamous "texting" incident that partly cost his marriage." (and lying via twitter to avoid being charged for assaulting a cyclist by ramming him with his car).

This guy's all class 'eh. What a role model.

It's a synergy between his XXX interests and his gambling investment. Shane tweets about "Hello, future wife". At least future wife knows what she's getting into.

Looks like a downward spiral being played out in public...slow car crash. Sad really. As for Liz, does she have a girlfriend who can get through to her? She's gone from billionaire heir to illiterate sportsman. Is Stadbroke's taking odds for the length of their engagement or likelihood of wedding?

Had a laugh yesterday. Warney's fall from grace must be complete. Whilst looking around an op shop i found a signed Shane Warne cricket bat in a special box and what not, with authenticity certificate, being sold for $40, and it still hadn't been taken. I thought about his incident with the cyclist and immediately thought that maybe a cyclist owned the bat also and ditched it. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'd take that bat. Run some tyre tracks over it and the certificate then ebay it. Methinks a few riders might be be interested

Maybe I should buy it and then use it as a marker to tell the peloton where they should take a toilet break. I'm sure plenty of cyclists would like to urinate on Warne's cricket bat.

He said she said... have a camera if you want to take this stuff to court. Bit ridiculous that the lawyer took it that far if they didn't have the stones to go the whole way.

There were a stack of witnesses at the time. Dunno... seems odd to walk away now.

Maybe a quiet under the table offer was made on the usual confidentiality conditions?

Exactly.

Why would they be bothered making a press statement regarding this if they were backing out because it wasn't worth pursuing?

"High-profile lawyer George Defteros told the Herald Sun his client was no longer pursuing the matter." The cyclist said while he wanted Warne to own up to his wrongdoings, he wanted the matter over with. "I would've liked for him to have done the right (thing) and to acknowledge what he had done," he said.

Read between the lines. They offered me a deal and I took it because taking it all to court is a hassle. As part of the deal Shane Warne hasn't admitted liability or guilt and details of the deal must remain confidential. Here's the $$$$.

Possibly, but there's another consideration. If an offer is turned down, there are costs consequences if the person who turns it down doesn't do better than the offer at trial. That's certainly the case in Queensland and I believe in other jurisdictions too.

Does anyone have the TAC Board's email address(s) they can PM to me? I have a non-ranty email I want to send them and Terry Mulder asking for Mr. Warne's dismissal.

I did see that one, there is also review@tac.vic.gov.au on their TAC Complaints Process page, but messages sent to either of those will get lost in some pointless corporate process and have basically zero effect. I was looking for the board's address since they are probably actual people, to some extent.
