Thanks to Deon (jacks1071) I am now the proud owner a some new 2013 Pro-Lite Bracciano wheels.

Now just eagerly waiting on my order from c r c for my new 11-28 cassette, chainwhip and lockring tool so I can fit these babies to my bike and take them for a spin...

I know they haven't yet got tyres or cassette on them but they feel so damn light.

I will be sure to report on the new wheels in due course

Welcome to the club

I hang my bike on the wall and when someone shows an interest in the bike I'll spin the front wheel when we start talking. After a while they always go 'Holy heck, it's still going...'

Couldn't be happier with the wheels.

Oh, this morning I went through a solid pothole. It was where a previous repair had subsided about 10cm. Didn't see it as no sharp edges but the jolt was enough to move my right brifter on the bars and jam on the brake (and really quite hurt my wrist!). I thought for sure the wheel would be stuffed but nope, still perfect...

Praise for these wheels is really starting to get boring.

You should be well pleased with yourself. You've introduced a fine product to the Australian market at a more than reasonable price.

Also, you are prepared to back up that product 100%.

In a word - no.

They feel more stable than Mavic Equipes.

What air pressures are you using?

I've had mine for about 3.5 years now. After 30,000 odd km they'll need replacing in the next 6 months or so as the braking surface is starting to wear a little thin. Since I've had them I've replaced the rear wheel bearings, both rim tapes and the freehub body (cassette was not torqued correctly and it was gouging).

I think they were excellent value for money at the time and are still a great buy, will almost certainly get them again.

Have you ever experimented with slightly lower pressures in the front tyre to see if it reduces the twitchy feeling?

Went for the first ride with the new Braccianos' this evening.
Only did a few km's around the block to test them out but, WOW.

They certainly give less resistance to get going and have a much more direct feel and ride to them.
It might take a while to get used to the different freehub sound though....LOL.

What is driving me crazy is why my rear derailleur hangs past horizontal on my 34/11 and 34/12 gears.
I was previously running a 11-25 but installed a new 11-28 on the new wheels....and using the same chain.
I was half expecting an issue with the 50/28 combo but this seems to be fine (not that I'll use this combo very much), but I wasn't expecting an issue on small-small.

Before the change I could select and ride the 34/11 and 34/12 gears without a problem but now when I select these the chain rubs along the jockey wheels (because the RD is at horizontal). I can't work out why this is happening or what is causing it.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears

I took the wheels out for their first real spin this morning - in a 50 km/h northerly....what a battle!

The wheels feel so much nicer to ride on than my previous stock Mavic CXP22's and their stiffness and more direct reaction are great....not to mention their smooth rolling.

So far, I'm very happy with the new wheels and I'm amazed at just how different the bike feels to ride (in a good way)...

Hi there

my husband bought these wheels for my bike -i honestly thought wheels were wheels and could not understand his high praise BUT I love them - as a new rider I love the stability & handling - once I learn to accelerate and hold a decent speed I am sure they will help me ride faster....

Am sure I got them first so he could buy some for himself without me having a whinge - clever man...

He is clever Fiona but not for that reason. He's very wisely decided to use your bike as the test mule with you as the willing pilot. This way, if the wheels weren't great, they are your problem
