G'day all, Its that time of year again, yet another great year of ridding and allot more folks hitting and passing the 10K mark so happy days and congrats to all that went for gold this year. 2013, I think we'll continue the 10K PLUS club for next year and I hope to see more people join the club and achieve their goals in 2013. So if you are up for 10K or more in 2013, join up and put your name down in here and the Fit gits 2013 thread. As allot of people (including myself next year) are now using other formats to log their rides, its no longer required to list your target on BJ by Jan 01st. I would though ask you to put your name forward so we now who's in or not. This is only for 'out door rides' and no track rides, I will post a list of the standings by weekly, but without the graphs. I'm in too. I'm aiming at 13,000 again. It will be a bit harder next year as I now work every second weekend so that cuts out a couple of 100k rides a month.
Unless you are at the front of the pack the view's the same.

I will be in again for 12 k. I will just be logging on strava I suppose... But I do include my indoor rides on strava as well ( helps when looking back at what I do weekly ) ... I can't log many outdoor k's in winter. In jan and feb I am aiming at a minimum of 300kms a week... Probably half of that will be indoors .

+1 12k seems possible. first half of the year was light on, so should be doable.

Seriously thinking that I will be joining you here in the 10k club, the 6ker's are likely to boot me out seeing though I'm almost at 9k for this year!
I'll nominate 10k for 2013!

I'm in for 12k. Last year was ~3k so I thought I might just manage 6k this year. Turned out not to be the chore I thought it might end up as (~9.4k)

With my commuting I shoud be able to knock off 12k+ again in 2013, but I am thinking of changing my goals to something other than just an end total as it has become somewhat tedious. Not sure what to do yet.

Maybe a climbing total or X number of rides over 100 or 160km?

We have a few decent climbers on BNA, would folks like a climbing challenge (sub group) just for interest to keep a log of them..?

Like Queequeg, I think I better set a target of more than just kms. But I am not a climber... So I don't want a massive climbing target- just a combination of kms and climbing. A small confession - this year I have sometimes avoided climbs so I could get more kms in. In 2013 I want to incorporate some climbing but will have to go out of my way to find some as all my standard rides are pretty flat. Andrew

I am thinking of trying for a double century ride once a month. I can do a 100 to 160km too easily (and that is with hills galore).

Queequeg, if you are going to try to do a double century a month you should look at joining the UMCA as doing that would qualify you for one of their awards. From memory one of their awards is for doing an imperial century (160kms) once a month. Andrew

Gonna have a crack at 10k this year.
Will probably depend on if we can get the kids on the school bus, if not it might be a struggle.

I have revised my goal considering that I was less than 150 k's away from hitting 10k in 2012, so I'm in for 12,000.
