Got to the 10,005km recorded mark, yesterday when the air escaped from my rear tyre at 42kph on my TT bike, I hit the deck, broke collarbone.

Made it home the 15km thanks to a friend for 10,020km recorded (excludes about 500km unrecorded commutes to train station and return).

So it will be 10,020km to 2013 and a delayed start to beat that in 2014.

Sheeze, thats just crapp. But well done on reaching the big 10k.

i finished the year off with a 200km loop, 13,800km in total and 125,000m in climbing. i was aiming for 15k but with 3 months off the bike, was happy with what i reached. this year i want to get the total ascent up to 200,000m i reckon.

more than half of my riding is on a MTB commuter so i reckon i should get extra credit
