Belt drive bicycle

I only heard of this thing the other day. Does anyone here recommend it?

Pros:
Clean.
Quiet (though is it really quieter than any other single speed chain? I don't know, my chain is pretty quiet!).
Doesn't rust.

Cons:
Requires a split rear triangle
Limited choice of parts
Expensive
High alignment accuracy needed (Centertrack apparently not so critical?)
High(er) tension needed (possibly generating friction? and requiring some sort of system to easily create tension, while keeping accurate alignment)
Limited to single speed or hub gear use (no great disadvantage given the target market)

I like them as a concept, but the only reason I would own one is to stop my toddler grabbing a greasy chain. But he will stop that in another year or so anyway. Rust is a non-issue for me as I keep my bike under cover/inside and there is no road salting around here.

They make the perfect fast commuter or a single speed. Only drawback I can see are cost and internal hub only which is kinda heavy.

Clean, looks slick, quiet and best of all unbelievably smooth!

Unfortunately I don't think it was ever brought into Aus and even it was it would've been over $4k

Best used for commuting duties or just putting around.
Expensive parts, limited gearing options.
Removing the wheel can be painful depending on the setup but speed comes with experience.
Belt slippage can be an issue if you have monster legs or the frame is a wet noodle.
You'll generally get 8000km+ out of a belt if well maintained.
Would I go back to it? Not unless the parts became dirt cheap.
