Had the appendix out a few days ago. Was 3000m in front of target, but looks like i'll have a tough go of it trying to catch up again once back on the bike in a couple of weeks (hopefully less). The distance target is most likely to be missed now... 10k seemed spot on until this layoff.

About to leave for the CCIA tour for 5 days, with my wife and the little guy remaining at home. Safe to say I was on Mr Mom duties today..... Smashed out a few metres of pasta - that count?Dimma wrote:C'mon Dan was a great morning this am, surely you didn't have to work?

Real good fun, hopefully we can do it again sometime.
I think the ride ended up being around 1400m and 70-80km (depending where home is).
And I can confirm that Daccordi climbs like a demon, even when he has 7500m in his legs from the previous week. Hate to see what he could do on fresh legs.

Thanks guys - was a good morning out. Nice little loop on some roads I'd never tried. I felt pretty sluggish though trailing behind you guys for a lot of the back half - got to get the jump early next timeboss wrote:Daccordi Rider wrote:Thanks Boss and JZR for the ride. The shop shimmed my bearings today so they run (very) slightly larger, so no more play in the BB. While it's still early days, I'm stoked.jzr wrote:Thanks guys - was a good morning out. I had my finger on the 'buy chinese carbon frame' trigger - while I was excited about buying something new, overall I was unhappy with the idea of tossing out a pretty good frame.
Oh how I dream of TI...

Not going to do that again... Discovered my legs get really unhappy at about 17% gradient, and get super unhappy at 20+%

Woohoo I was the 2nd slowest person ever on Strava on one of the steep descents. It was wet and super slippery.

It was nice to wait at the finish and chat with others as they came in. Anyone completing this ride deserves to be congratulated. Today was tough in terms of the wind conditions and the usual very rough road surfaces (for 95% of route)
I had just 49 min off the bike during the 207 km brevet part of this ride which I completed in 9h10m, 10m better that my previous best time from last year
