I saw that, but looked through the rest of the rules and saw nothing specific against it!

I thought it was against the rules too. I read it was bad form somewhere. Haha.

I'm usually a Squire guy. But lately it's been so expensive ($60+ cartons) I've been messin' with other beers. At $40 a carton I couldn't say no to Coronas - I'll happily cop the flack at that price haha.

Off topic. All in jest... don't really care what you drink TBH. Worthy of a rules violation notice. But if you want to spend less and still have a quality beer. Pilsner Urquell, usually around $48/carton at the usuals. Fully imported and from one of/if not the best brewery in the world.

Funny that, I find Pale and Sparkling too yeasty/heavy. Get all bloated after a couple. I tip my hat to you if you can session on pale!

All this talk of beer has got me fiending a parmi, and I won't be visiting the pub till Wednesday at the earliest. Holy hell.

Stopped raining today so I headed out and did a hill ride. nothing flash compared to some here but 1000m in 68km. Happy with that. The road was very slippery and most of it had to be done in the saddle. Coming down was just as slow. My slowest descent ever down Campbells Pocket Rd.

Did 65km and 1240M yesterday around Sugarloaf Reservoir, cut it short, missing out on the biggest climb of the day (One Tree Hill), after I double pinch flatted on a gravel road, may have to bump the pressure up a bit. Lucky I cut it short because the knee started playing up towards the end, I really need those lower gears, embarrassed to say I walked a short section of this http://app.strava.com/segments/877245, the steep bit between the 1.5 and 2km mark. The funny thing is I rode a way down Orme St, to the sharp bend and back, Strava counted my total time with the detour, meaning I have the second slowest time

Copied & edited from another thread - my progress...

Just caught up on the goss, after about 6 weeks of hardly being on here. Well done to everyone who have been riding in adverse conditions, and quick healing to those who have injuries/operations/recoveries going on.
My wedding is in 5 days, so haven't had a lot of long rides, but have been fitting in a few shorter ones here and there.
Highlight if Feb was conquering Baw Baw, with the Climbing Cyclist/Hells 500 group - a fantastic day. 95km with about 2500m of climbing. I was rapt to knock over the last 7km, and other than a few minor glitches, it was an awesome outing. One of the 'glitches' was that my garmin file was corrupt, so couldn't upload the ride. I've had the fit file looked at by Strava & Garmin (and a couple of computer savvy mates), and it's dead. My question to you fellow Strava Climbing Challengers - when entering an activity manually, is there any way of entering meters gained?

As it's now mid march, it's too hard to work out a Feb summary, but I'm pretty happy with how the year is going - considering work has been insane, and there's been lots of wedding planning going on.

Keep up the great climbing everyone!

This morning 60km and 1700m, lunchtime 20km and 200m, after work 12km and 200m.

So 92km and 2100m. Not bad for a workday eh.

Oh - forgot to mention 28 degree average in the morning, 38 average at lunch, 36 on the way home.

All riding fairly tough hills and fast pace, with exception of the first 8km / 400m. Was riding with a group and I went slow with one of the dudes who was really hurting, just being the nice guy I am.

But yeah. Still feeling very fresh - I think I am coming into form.

I have only attempted climbing up it once on the fixie but got to the left turn at the blue house and turned around. Strava reckons its about 18% there. Wouldn't be to bad if I hadn't climbed to get to it. Honestly though I think Mt Mellum would be one of the easier climbs around we're I live.
