My month was less than stellar. 797km with 10112m of ascent. Hopefully this will be rectified in October with some bigger rides scheduled for later in the month. Assuming my ankle and knee get better. :(
Still better than mine SSS...

September: 625km and 5118m of climbing.

October has Around the Bay 210km on the calendar to come.

After a great first week the illness of myself and family costing me 10 days of cycling and the postponement of the Tour de SCUM started to leave me somewhat disappointed with my September. Thankfully in the last week and a half I was able to get things back on track and at least salvage my 6999m climbing target with a final figure of 7663m climbed in my 572.5km.

October has some big plans for it. The first couple of weeks see my training ramp up to maximum before starting to taper. The end of the month sees the rescheduled Tour de SCUM on the 19th, the Tour da Country Community Ride on the 25th, the rescheduled Husky 100 on the 27th then heading off on the Tour da Country on the 28th. Looks like the recipe for my biggest month ever.

With the shorter ride in to work (have to get there on time ;) ) I can't get up to the higher numbers for the month. But, September, despite some rain and a hell of a lot of wind, ended up over 600KMs so a good month for me.

Still a fair way ahead of the triangle so should easily reach my 6,800 KMs for the year.

I managed 1238Km for September, which was pleasing, given some of the very ordinary weather we've had.

I've just come off working 9 days straight, so that, combined with the ridiculous wind made the decision to have a rest day quite easy today.

I've got a couple of sportive rides coming up, as well as a good 75Km handicap this Sunday, so October is going to start off with a bang!

The 8th of October will mark 12 months since I commenced my cycling comeback. Bring it on!

Keep up the good work all.

cheers

Reading all these posts is making me depressed. So is the wind gusting at 80km/h.

I was planning to ride to work today but those plans are not looking good at the moment.

Same here Lewy. I did ride to work but there is no way I'm riding home is this headwind. Hoping to catch up some miles over the long weekend.

Just updated my rides on Veloviewer and I notice that yesterdays ride home from work had me clocking over 7000km for the year.

Also found on Veloviewer that all the Strava challenges you enter are now displayed.

It is disturbing the number I have entered and not completed.

Well done on passing the 7k mark singlespeedscott. Wouldn't be too disturbed about the uncompleted Strava challenges. I think many of us enter every one with no intention of finishing. I usually have one of their intermediate milestones as a goal.

Pretty sure VV displays all challenges running at the time you were riding as the API doesn't feed which were entered. On the other hand, if it's just jogging your memory... well they wouldn't be challenges if they were easy :-)

Oh, forgot to mention. Veloviewer displays all challenges whether you entered them or not.

The targets are fairly unrealistic for some of us draught horses !!!!!

Sorry guys,

Goal bars were down today (solid black). Double whammy of imagemagick upgrade breaking the graph and needing to change the scraping script slightly but we're all good again :-)
