6K Club 2013 EditionRe: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Hey SSS, Your pretty local to me, fancy hooking up for a ride? Sundays only, due to work ................Go Easy I'm learning!
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionNice 115km ride on quiet country roads this morning. 1090m climbed and average of 26.1km/h. It was 12C and cold on the way out and 30C on the way home - odd.

Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Nice one DaveOZ. Those photos make me want to go riding. Looks like a very nice place to clock up a few km's.... Dave 2012 Felt F75 | 105 | ProLite Braccianos | GP4000S
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI'm on the board for the year! Still on holiday so only 16 km to get a coffee, but I did manage to grab a KOM on the way
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionLooks gorgeous up there today DaveOZ. Some nice shots, are they with the action cam?
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
No, I rode without it today. Took them with my phone.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionNice ride Dave. I haven't been on the bike all year. Had an early ride planned this morning, but after only 4 hours sleep, thank you neighbours, I bailed. Instead I spent the day with the bride and a mate's family at Bosom Beach swimming and eating. Best part of 3 hours in the water and I am stuffed.
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
My next ride up your way will probably be Grant's Tallowa Dam ride on the 12th Graham. Should be some roads in that one that you ride regularly.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionYes Tallowa Dam - ride of the damned - on the 12th, PM me if you're interested. Then the Tallong Bridge ride is scheduled in a couple of months too so plenty of Highlands scenic beauty to enjoy.
Today was my first day off the bike since the 23rd December and I've been restless and fidgety all day. Good thing I'm going out tomorrow morning to smash myself against the Gun Club hill repeatedly so I can start feeling normal again
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionOK, I'm in, now if I can stop getting punctures I may just make it.
Ride, ride, ride, ride and ride some more. I think I'm becoming a little OCD
Re: 6K Club 2013 Editiongot out for 25km this morning, and won't be riding again until Tuesday... aaarrrrggg!
I think that is a sign of addiction, when you're dreading the thought of missing out on something for 3 days "It is the unknown around the corner that turns my wheels"

Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI'll have a go again. I only managed 3,000km last year because I fell off the wagon a bit through winter. I've been riding a fair bit the past 3 months though, so will try to keep it going.
Litespeed Tuscany with SRAM Force and Open Pros - soon!
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
It really sucks! I have the kit in wash so I can have another go tonight assuming I receive my 5 pack of inner tubes in the mail. I didn't have any left hence why I had none packed it seems!
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionLooks like the Bike Journal signature is no longer working. I'll have to start a Strava account I suppose.
My KMs will only really start on 21 Jan when I go back to work so you can all get a lead on me and I'll see who I can reel in. DS Riding: Cannondale Quick Speed 2
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI'm in. I have registered on Strava and will start shwoing my good start tothe year as soon as I work out how to manually log my rides.
Any tips on how I manually load a ride? The target distance, account name and my email address all went through fine. But all I have from it is a Settings tab and Home tab with no boxes for entering data afais. Strava's online advice is "Add an activity manually : If you want to record an activity on Strava without a GPS device, you can create a manual upload. Simply input all the information manually, like distance, time, activity type, etc" but I can't find a way to do that. ( https://strava.zendesk.com/entries/2095 ... va-website ) Unicyclist's don't need a training wheel
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionColin there should be an Upload Activity at the top right. Adding it manually is one of the options when you click on it.
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Not seeing it. Just a welcome message there and a link to logout. I am in the Home tab. I am talking only of desktop web-client, not a smartphone app. Unicyclist's don't need a training wheel
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI just made a Strava account and managed to manually upload a 1km ride, it can be done, you follow the link on the top right from memory and then you get the option of loading it manually.
I might try the app for my android phone and see if it agrees with the speedo on my bike, if not, it will be manual uploads for me. I will continue to use Bike Journal too but not Endomondo, 3 ways of logging rides is too many. DS Riding: Cannondale Quick Speed 2
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Colin - sounds like you are in the Cycling Target Thingy account where you can grab your signature block? http://statmonkey.is-a-geek.net/cycling/ You need to log in to Strava itself to add your rides. From a later post where you mention there is only a welcome message and log out button in top right hand corner, it definitely sounds like it's just the target thingy site -see screen shot below showing Home and Settings tabs that you describe. ![]() Have you created a Strava account as well? If not, you will need to do that first at http://www.strava.com . Then you can follow the earlier instructions to select the 'Upload Activity' button in top right hand corner. What you should see up the top once you login to Strava can be seen in the screen shot below. ![]() Hope that helps.
