+1 from me too....Qld's turn tomorrow :(

Stay safe everyone, keep an eye on your fluid intake if you're out riding in this heat.

Well today was my first day of commuting for the year and what a day for it. The Garmin pretty much agreed with the bom as I rode past the weather station on the way in, 6:45 and it was already 31 degrees. The trip home via a different route typically finds hotter areas for most of the trip and today was no exception, the Garmin topping out at 49 in a couple of spots. It's the first time I remember the brake levers becoming uncomfortably hot to touch

Thought I'd break the ice today. Just done some summer maintenance on the bike: new gear cables and outers, pulled the V brakes off and gave them a really good clean and basically cleaned the whole bike and put some proofide on the saddle. Bought one of those Aldi bike repair stands. Very impressive for $22. Solid and holds the bike well, a great buy for a home mechanic.

Anyway just 20KM today and then I'll start catching the KMs when I return to work on the 21st. How do you get the colour into the Strava line in the sig?

Firstly a best wishes to all the firies and the people affected by the fires. I know there is a fire blazing near lithgow (my old stomping ground) so I hope all friends and family are safe.

Went out for 60klms to La Pa this morning before work. Tough ride with the wind but a welcome change to the commute home yesterday.

Have a good day all.

Did about 50km and did some climbing too. I can't wait to be able to tackle hills in a gear greater than 1st!

17km ahead with another ride for Friday and then another century on Sunday (assuming we don't get a monsoon trough forming).

Garmin 200 should be here soon too so I'll be looking forward to setting some PRs on Strava!

I've finally opened my account - 40km ride around Lake Burley Griffin - beautiful weather for riding after a few stinking hot days...

I've done a few laps of it too this week. I've resigned myself to getting up at 5-5:30 in order to avoid the heat. Its the only way to get some serious k's before i start work next week. Dusk/night is too irritating, with all the insects, suicidal rabbits and suicidal pedestrians around

http://app.strava.com/activities/37114796" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

About 115kms on the SS MTB with around 75kms in the dirt.

I actually rode past my house at 90kms but wanted my first hungy for the year :D

Included a river crossing and a Ferry ride.

Hmm, stuffed up & manually entered a ride on strava twice. I deleted the duplicate but even after updating it is still showing in stat monkey.

Any hints or do I live with an undeserved 30k ?
