:( being on call this week and not being able to go >15-30mins from home/PC access. I think I will just jump on the MTB (with CX tyres currently on it) and do some laps of the town to keep my KM count moving in the right direction!

Not sure why, but the year to date total screwed up for some people and carried over last years total. I've fixed that, though it still won't match strava for anyone who has edited/deleted rides. Need to fix that next.

woot! 500km for the month so far, which is my biggest month ever. My goal is to get a few 1,000km months in while I'm keen and the weather is nice, just in case I fall off the wagon later in the year.

Loving the bike right now! 8)

Well done, a very impressive start.

I've put a couple of videos in the Sony Action Cam thread including the descents from Sunday's ride.

Nice going brisvegas, I'm sitting on 486km after this mornings ride and with the Alpine classic coming up at the end of the month and few rides planned leading up to that, I should be getting close to 800km by the end of January. Happy with that :)

Tongarra Mine road looks very rough Shane, I can almost feel the road surface!

Great effort mate! My next ride is scheduled for tomorrow but I just had to jump on and smash a few km to get my first ever Strava badge!

Only 25km and 150m of climbing due to time constraints but I feel good about that. Set a PR on a nice fast loop too.

The engine is getting stronger!

OK, thanks, seems good now. I noticed editing/deleting rides seemed a small issue but no biggie.

I wound up doing 3hrs 25 yesterday in the heat - I was particularly pleased that I managed the 90 minutes of sprinting to an afternoon dental appointment.

I seem to have recovered OK. I was even good for the ride this morning though I must admit to feeling a little uncertain when I got out of bed at 5 to discover the mercury was at 30.9 already!

However I have no plan to ride the whole way home this afternoon. I think I have earned a couple of stages on the train.

Yep, know what you mean. I've been doing a fair bit of hard work in the garden lately and when I come to the bike I'm stuffed. Probably need to prioritise the riding and forget about work around the house! (These were my last words.)

That distance on any bike is awesome, more so for it being a single speed!!!!

Thanks guys was a big day.

Just a brief report with a few photos.

I was speaking to my mate Kev and we decided we needed to do a 100mile singlespeed mtb ride before we went back to work.

With riding slow singlespeeds we started at 3.30am.

Waiting for Kev to ride down the hill

Image

The Bum tree on Bolong Rd between Nowra and Gerroa

Image

We rode the Kiama Coastal walk which is about 12kms from Gerringon to Kiama and mostly grass and sand.

Sunrise

Image

Playing with the Gopro

Image

This is what most of the track is like

Image

The beach shortcut around Warrawong. It was more pain than shortcut. 4.8kms at an avg spd of 13.2km/h and an avg HR of 161

Kev did it easier as he weighs 70kgs and I weigh 122kgs. He would ride over sand and I would sink in

Image

The end of the beach of pain.

Image

The Aussie standards approved straw hat :D

Image

Almost the end waiting for the train at Kiama after 167kms

Image

Then it was 8km home from the train station for 175kms all up and just over 9.5hrs in the saddle.

I made a brown blip on my graph with a post-holiday ride this morning.

I might be busy catching up in December at this rate!
