6K Club 2013 EditionRe: 6K Club 2013 EditionA truck took a liking to the Bianchi Alu/hydro while it was on the bike rack today and it is no longer with us.
Dealing with the issue but all rides for a while will be either on the SS MTB or the Infinito. Graham Last edited by celeste boy on Wed Mar 20, 2013 2:11 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionNo good at all mate - hope you find a replacement soon enough.
I managed to clock 2000Km for the year over tonight and the ride felt very good. I've got the Murray to Moyne in a couple of weeks and should see around 200-300Km, I'm led to believe, over the duration. cheers
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Is that a parking type rack or one on the car? Hope it's not too much hassle getting it sorted out and paid for Graham.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionRack on car.
Graham
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionNice of them to remove the sig while mine goes ever browner while I wait for a new bike!

Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
It's bloody annoying isn't it.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionSorry to hear that Graham. Hope the guy pays up to replace your bike.
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
+1
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionHopeful and had a few plus things today- will reveal all when replaced.
Graham
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Bad luck on the mishap, hope the outcome is quick and your on the replacement bike
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI've posted up a bit of a ride report of the Oppy on my self indulgent blog, at least the bits I can remember. There's also a nice photo of the opera house
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionProbably not the place for this but:
Went for a ride this morning and the lead guy who was 100m ahead went around a tight corner (At end of Moss Vale bike track under the bridge) and ended up off the track, down a ditch and into a barbed wire fence. Not too much damage luckily but we needed to check that he didn't have concussion. How many fingers am I holding up? Two. correct What is my name? Graham. correct. It was then he said, 'Please don't ask me who the prime minister is now!' Graham
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI am in front of the triangle, which means Strava must count home trainer rides.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionThe triangle is invisible to me.
I don't know whether it was David S. of gauntlet fame who gave a report on progress each week for the 6K club. Maybe in the absence of our signatures someone could take that on? Graham
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI'm happy not to see my progress bar at the moment.
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI had almost caught the triangle but a slow week sees me slip a couple of km more behind
Absolutely lovely day for a ride today. Fronted up and got absolutely smashed, carved up, spat out and rolled through the dirt (started to come unhitched after a few 100m It wasn't all that bad, I am giving away about 25 years and probably almost as many kg Note to Tour Director: less hills next time!!!
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Hey, you threw the gauntlets and, after a week with no bike, you're still 100KMs behind me Be nice if we can get the sigs working again. I would be behind again now but not sure how much. Must make a small spreadsheet to check this if the sig doesn't return. DS
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionGauntlets
My year is going pretty well so far, and I'm planning on a big April, providing I can eat enough
Re: 6K Club 2013 Editionreally enjoying the challenge of getting the 6K in - yesterday did the bobbin head classic and then also managed to set a new ride distance record of 130km, topping my previous best of 111km - next stop the magical 150km mark!
Re: 6K Club 2013 Editionsince there are no signatures for now, I've posted a link to my bar to see how far behind I am...
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
If your heading for 150km why stop. Do a 161km and claim your first Imperial century. 100miles always sound pretty cool to me.
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
agreed! next stop 100 miles
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI knew I gonna pass my 25,000th km during the bike hike. Yep - checked at the end and the meter was on 25,006.
About to head out to work and add a few more.
Re: 6K Club 2013 Edition
Good idea Dave, especially seeing as I am ahead of the triangle for now. Anyone else who wants to see can add there sign below (in alphabetical order for those with OCD DaveOZ find_bruce
Re: 6K Club 2013 EditionI am pretty sure Veloviewer has sorted his issue, so Christopher should be able to turn sigs back on soon enough.
