You will be a few hours faster than me in the Husky100 Shane.

For any South Coast MTBers I am riding from Kiama to Thirroul on Monday and going via Killalea and Blackbutt reserve then maybe back to Wollongong.

Should be in Kiama around 7am.

Just cracked half of my goal at lunchtime, with about 3 weeks to go this month. I'd love to hit 3,500km by the end of this month to be on track to hit 7k. Maybe!

Cracked the 4000km mark today. Also managed a PB and some trophies on my local climb. Woo hoo.

Nice one sss - at this rate you will crack 6,000 in August.

I was rather pleased with my ride today - 118.5 km & pushed my NPCCI all the way up into the 20's
Image.

Sure it's a long way from Grant's huuuge effort, but it is more than double the barely teenager is was :D

Given how much riding I have been able to get in this year I have now changed my goal to 8000km. Fingers crossed that I can maintain my pace over the winter. 8)

That was quick.

I think 10k may be just out of reach. Particularly if I wish to remain married. :)

Well, cracked 5k this arvo (6K since I took up cycling last October!), on a glorious, windswept roll to Frankston and back after work. Even better, I did Oliver's Hill in 1:59, which was a 25 second improvement for me and I did it fairly easy this time 'round!

I figure I will increase my target for the year, but will wait until June and the JuneDoggle is completed, then make an assessment. Perhaps I'll set it to 9000Km - so as not to be over-confident.

Keep up the Ks people - everyone is doing a fantastic job.

cheers

Well, we all could be out on the grog; I reckon our better halves should be happy that we're getting fitter / healthier!

Cheers

Making the most of the weekend: 75km yesterday, 870m climbing; 88km today, 1100m climbing. 50km in front of distance triangle and gaining on the climbing target. Today's climb finished with a 2km up 9-10%.

No grief from Mrs C+W about being on the bike as she was out on the road with me. It could be an option that works in your favour SSS unless there are tears or Wiggo bike throwing episodes??? Will need a big dinner tonight, and a few beers :D

Happy riding!

It's a lucky guy who can share his cycling with his partner :)

I spent my ride today, alone and into a headwind for half of it. I made it a whole lot worse by taking only one banana which I ate after the first 30kms and then decided to go that little bit further out, giving the wind a chance to pick up when I turned back. Felt quite wobbly when I got home. Will sleep well tonight I think.

Nothing like a big ride to get back into.

135kms all up including riding to and from the train station.
