I was (notso) clever enough to go for a ride along Manly/Lota late on Saturday arvo, it felt like this.

Finally got out this afternoon for a roll around the river...600 badge done there is no way I will get another, given that I lost two entire weekends off the bike I'm pretty happy with my January, may almost double my total from January 2012.

I finally got a ride in again today. I'm hoping the sun stays out for the next two, days so I can see if I can scrape in the 800.

BTW, I was busy looking out for debris, etc and noticed a bird fly off into the front of a truck passing me. This is what happened :-)

Hmmmmm... 193km in two days to break 1000mi. Can I do it?

It's plausible I think. A couple of laps of Cootha tomorrow morning.. a riverloop in the afternoon. Thursday Redcliffe and then pedal around afterwork until goal is done..

40 miles to reach 600 miles for me...
Night time is my only option at the moment, so will be commute plus city road loops... Might ride out to Redlands and back late tomorrow night once all the family fun is done...

Kudos to those of you that are cracking 1000 miles; that is amazing commitment!!!

I am still carrying too much personal weight and just too damn slow... :-) 25kph average is a good day for me...
Loving my Merida's and working towards adding a Pinarello to the stable... Go go go...

Sadly, I wont get to 600 miles which was my goal. 820Km so far, but only have time for a riverloop in the morning as ive gota get the kids to school. Weather & back hub rebuild have conspired against me.

Still, am on track for 6,000 km for the year at this early stage.

Should get 5 bikes, like me... :)

Hoping to get to 2100kms tomorrow. They stop giving out badges after 1000miles. Lame!

Cheers mate, already had 5 loan bike offers, hopefully it's sorted over the w/end.
As long as I don't attempt any running a break will do me good, I'm still paying for some over training late last year.

Bugger, we pulled the pin on Coottha this morning because of the rain :|

That gives me 658 miles/1058 k's for January, given that I lost out on two weekends of riding I'm pretty happy with that....I more than doubled my 2012 total :)

Fantastic miles everyone!!!

I still need 55km to get to 600 miles...

With the rain in Brisbane, I could be looking at a lot of pain on the indoor trainer after work this evening... ;-)

Impressive miles by all. I made it to the 200 miles which is my biggest month of riding by some way. Now to try and match it each month.

Just got 800 miles this morning, then it started raining.

Happy with that, especially because I didn't really do much more riding than usual.

Well, the Base Mile Blast is run and done for me. I managed 557mi (897Km) and am very happy, as I had 5 days off the bike due to illness.

It certainly was fun and I cannot wait for the next challenge and the chance to crack it.

cheers
