Sounds good to me! But which shop in the USA will ship to Australia? Or did you use a forwarding service?

Or buy one straight from the USA like I did and have it within 2 weeks.....and avoid the inevitable Australian mark up/rip off.

Web site says only for US customers???

Thank you for your interest in the Stages Power meter. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to those outside of the US and Canada at this time. As a new company, and US based manufacturer, we've made the decision to only sell to North America until we're comfortable growing to support the demand and product outside of that area. We want to ensure we can support our customers in the highest quality manner and we cannot do this until we have our systems in place in other countries.

If you have an address in the US that the Stages can be shipped to, then certain Stages dealers will organise for the purchase and sending of a crank arm for you. You do however need a US address.

I cracked and got a Quarq. so much for my fierce defence. Dale79, would be interested in a stages vs quarq comparison if you are keen since you have already done the powertap check. It's only a compact though so you might need to test on some Coff Coff hack hills Coff hack blergh. My big thought was the glen haven style intervals and the Marconi sprints, which I have heard you are a bit handy with. ;)

As an average or the entire ride? Those stats are for the entire ride but would be interested in what was happening for 5 sec, 1min, 5min and 20 min bests.

I used www.PriceUSA.com.au . I got it for $1030 delivered but I timed the Australian dollar terribly, I bought it just as the dollar dropped to its lowest point in a few years recenty. With the dollar now back up a bit you will get it for well under $1000 delivered.

It has been perfect, easy to install, easy to use and very accurate. It has a built in accelerometer which means you get a cadence meter as well.

I bought some of the Vectors yesterday. That's my only concern with them. The fact I can change them onto my other bikes easily was a winner for me.

Interesting with the left/right balance. It seems I am 53% left 47% right at the beginning of the ride then as I get tired I swap to 47% left 53% right with power falling. The left leg is obviously tiring from the extra work in the beginning and the right leg keeps on going at the lower wattage. I definitely need to work on my right leg.

Or that's just how you are... I am pretty sure I am similar, but it doesn't seem to hamper my performance. Certainly a stages would be pointless for you.
