I'm happy with todays coverage so far. The adds are no different to any other sports event that I watch. :|

I didn't want to see the finish of the race. My day is complete having to listen to Campbell Newman cover his arse.....

Good on you channel nine.!

Channel 9 fools. Could have recorded the flood brief from the idiot premier and replayed after the cycling. The most important stage. Can't believe it.

What a bunch of !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !!.....

Not other channel thought Newman was important enough to interrupt there programing especially the last minutes of a live event.

Would they of done that during the last over of a cricket match?

Well done to Gerrans. Great ride.

Bad move from nine. But they're not the only villains here. That Newman creature is only there because Queenslanders voted for him.

Highly doubt that it wouldn't have happened during a crucial point in a cricket match...or football game!

We switched to the live streaming but it wasn't quite the same.

What has that got to do with nines programing decisions?

Just a typical nine....

Still doing a good job considering the mess that Anna Bligh left this state in.

A good strong finish by Gerrans 8) but hey people, how quickly we forget what happened back 2yrs ago.

They could also recorded the time when Newman was talking also and played it after the interruption. (not defending anyone here, just stating the bleeding obvious)

Good coverage until the end, after Gerrans won and we should have been seeing what was happening further back, they seemed to completely forget this in the programming as they didn't show anything at all from other riders. I started talking to the TV, show me what's happening.

Otherwise the coverage was quite good with a fair idea of distances to the end and between the peloton and breakaway groups.

I would say they don't have the resources to cover multiple points at once.

There was neither interruption nor ads in the live stream from the web site. 8)

Better not fall off your bike then Lukeyboy, or you may discover what happens to patients when 20,000 health workers are sacked.

Yes, this is exactly the point I made after stage 2. There was no mention that many of the riders who would have been expected to contest the finish had been caught up in a crash so the viewer was left wondering what had happened to them.

+ 1 Good points made.

Too many ads but hey it's commercial TV. Liggett and Sherwin really ground the coverage, to me they are uber familiar and make it ever so easy for me to tune in.
