Eastern Sydney - Weekend Ride

Every Sunday I see at Alison Rd Randwick intersection about 60-80 road cyclists ride in a pack from Alison Rd, turning right to Belmore Rd at 8:10am sharp.

Who are they (club or bike user group)? How could I find the ride information (e.g. requirements, where the ride starts, time, distance, speed, etc.).

Do they have any similar ride on Saturday?

Thanks!

Centennial Park is a Mecca of cycling in Sydney. There are quite a few bunch rides starting out from there throughout the week. So yes, there are Sat rides and there are Sun rides and there are weekday rides. These large rides are typically organized by CA/CNSW affiliated cycling clubs or tri/fitness clubs. I would suggest that you look up the web sites of Sydney Cycling Club, Randwick-Botany CC and Eastern Suburbs CC for starter. If you should ride within Centennial Park, you'll also pick up names of tri and fitness clubs on riders' jersey. Otherwise, just ride up to the tail of one of the bunches and ask who they are and how to join.

And it always amazes me how it the bike lane clears after 7am on a weekday, 8am on weekends.
