Hey all,
I understand that Thule make wheel holders which suit most wheels.
Does anyone know of a roof mounted wheel carrier that will hold a lefty hub?

Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?Hey all,

Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?
try here: http://www.hurricanecomponents.com/product.php?id=4 if you attach the Fork-Up to your bike, then you can mount your bike on any standard roof mount carrier. ![]()
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?Hi CLP, I have already bought one of those adapters.
I guess I didn't explain well enough what I was after. Here is a link to the regular product, that won't work for me. http://www.thule.com.au/details.php?p_id=230 I am after a roof mounted wheel holder that will suit a lefty wheel.
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?I haven't seen an actual rack, but there is another adapter available (different to what you linked).
http://www.thule.com.au/details.php?p_id=221 Much better
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?
Again, I have one of these already. I am not after a solution for putting my bike on the rack, I am after a wheel carrier, like in the link I posted, for a 29er lefty wheel.
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?I'm thinking that the unique design of the Lefty will make any such wheel carrier problematic.
Have you tried emailing Jon at Gripsport? He's pretty good at attacking odd problems from a different angle. ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?So you want a carrier where you don't need to take the front wheel off the bike?
There are plenty that do that and would fit a lefty. The ones with swing arms that hold the frame. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?
Thanks Mulger, I'll look him up.
Dude, are you trolling me?
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?Maybe you need a different rack and leave the wheel on the bike? Could be a bit more expensive solution but something like the Yakima Frontloader should work. You could use it for just the wheel if you really wanted.
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?I asked a serious question
You have a bad attitude, I offered some comments and a link (even tho it wasn't what you required) and you have a crack at me. Sorry for trying, #$%&
Re: Roof rack carrier for a lefty hub?I have a good rack, that is fine for both my bikes, so I don't really feel the need to change it.
Skull, no offence, but it seems to me that you didn't read any of my posts, and just kept offering solutions that were irrelevant. Sorry if you were offended. I will let this thread die now, as I think I have my answer.
