Hi guys
Just a friendly caution to those who may cycle the legal cycling/rock-climbers access route on the S side of Mt Boyce. At the first gate at the Mt Victoria end is a railway gate you step around... through the week, I tripped on a star-picket protruding about 8 to 10 cms out of the ground.
Tore the mesh on one of my cycling shoes, yet I was enjoying the cold but sunny morning out, that I laughed initially when i picked myself up of the ground.
It is only this morning that I woke with a sore toe, and see a nasty surface tear to it. Ouch!
The picket may be there to frustrate dirt bikes.
