Hi I'm looking at this wheel set on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... ink:top:en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm a 105Kg rider so on the heavey side
I will be using them mainly for road and rail trails with slicks but would also like to be able to use off road if needed, are they strong enought for me has any heavey rider out there got them
Thanks
Chris

I am "only" 95kg but in my experience cheap 24 spoke wheels are simply not nearly strong enough.
My rule of thumb is 32 spokes or more

Bombed round some fire trails a half dozen times on a set of those. I weigh 90kg. They saw lots of path use with my daughter on board as well, combined we're about 100kg. They held up well, didn't need to be trued ever. Not sure how they'd hold up over time long term trail use, though.

A set of new Crossrides was my first 'good' wheelset a couple of years ago, they were MILES better than the old Alexrims/Shimano Parallax wheelset they replaced (i couldn't believe how much faster they felt) and i never had an issue with them, i was no lightweight and thanks to my woeful bike handling i had a habit of destroying gear.
