I just had a flick though this thread.
I wear a "Road ID" dog tag style necklace when i ride, everytime. In fact I just wear it ALL the time. I dont have any misconceptions that it will in some way, save my life
The idea of carying such info on your person is so that they know who to call when you are injured/ un consious or where to send the body when they scrape you off the road.
The phone is a good source of info, but not much good if it has been flung into the bushes on impact or smashed to pieces when you hit the bitumen.
For about $30 it is just good for peace of mind.

So do I, with my name, address and year of birth, my wife's name and number, allergy details, an the fact that I have no significant medical or surgical history. It's a neat silicone wrist band with a watch clasp, but other designs are available from roadid.comToolish wrote:I wear a roadID http://www.roadid.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with my wifes details and my best mates details.
Wear it every time I run or ride.
