Best Undershirts ???

Ok so after 10 years of using old school bonds cotton t shirts (tight) as undershirts I need to get with the program. I am sick of sweating up the undershirt getting wet and then freezing as it gets colder on the ride home.

Any suggestions of new technology ??

I've been wearing Odlo undershirts for the last month or so and I have been pretty happy, happy enough that I'm going to order some more - http://www.this link is broken/odlo/

I've tried a few different merino tops, and I honestly haven't liked them at all.

My all time favourite is the Craft Warm base layer. Absolutely brilliant bit of kit when the weather starts turning nasty on you!

Code: Select all

(The forum doesn't seem to like the way that link is formatted.)

Otherwise, I'll second Odlo as another good choice.

Craft does it for me. Use their mesh singlets through Summer (even on 35+ days) all the way down to their windstopper t's in mid winter. So very comfy :)

Gotta couple of Rapha merino sleeveless base layers from my mate when he was in the uk. Very good.

This is also why cotton socks are to be avoided, especially in winter. You want merino base layers and woollen socks, or possibly synthetics that wick moisture. I've recommended them before, but I have a cupboard full of Wilderness Wear base layers, and it's great stuff.

Rapha is great. Not cheap, but they don't sag after a few seasons and they're really comfortable.

I always wear a undershirt. The mesh sleeveless in summer definitely makes you more comfortable

I know craft work as I always feel bone dry during the ride but when I get home and take off the undershirt it is well and truly wet. They do a great job at wicking away moisture.

i use Nike Pro Compression tops as a base layer, the Dri Fit helps keep the sweat off quite effectively.
