Do you eat more riding or not riding?

Postby lammy » Wed May 08, 2013 1:44 pm

Strange this but over the last 5 days I been off the bike and been very unactive, which is most uncommon for me.
I noticed I am ate considerably more than when I am normally doing 2-3 hours cycling per day. Its not healthy stuff either, lots of breads, chips and even demolished down couple of krispy kreams and also 2 fresh cream donuts from woolworths.

Back on the right path now, just wondered if anybody else's nutrition goes haywire when your off your bike?

Yep, when tapering for a race I am a bottomless pit of hunger. I literally can't get enough food in me. It is insane.

More when riding, much more. If i do more than 100 kms on a ride i am ravenous and i always make sure i take things to eat when i'm out so it's not as if i'm starving myself.

I eat a lot more, especially on long rides where I pretty much can't cram enough food in my mouth. I also don't tend to eat good food, I generally try to eat things that are as calorie dense as possible, I don't know if that does me any good though :S
