Iddo Munro and Donald Kirkham

Postby GrahamAH74 » Thu May 09, 2013 6:10 pm

I would really appreciate it if anybody could let me know more information about Iddo Munro and Donald Kirkham, the Australians who competed in the 1914 Tour. Does anybody know what happened to them when the war started after the Tour? DId they sign up to the army? Any information would be appreciated.

In Sir Hubert Opperman's autobiography, he reports a Donald Kirkham as racing in the 1920's and 30's. There is no mention of an "Iddo Munro" but an Ivor Munro is mentioned in the same era.

The book does not say anything about their army service but the Australian War Memorial has comprehensive records.
