I'm pretty sure Jan Heine demonstrated that there was an aero advantage to having a handlebar bag fitted.TDC wrote:BMC have been in the wind tunnel putting the finishing touches on a basket for the handlebars.

The journo should have gone out a bit faster on the first run.

I just weighed my three bikes:
Rigid MTB, 2" wide road tyres with mudguards (wet/utility bike): ~12Kg
Rigid MTB: ~11.5Kg
CX/road: ~11Kg.
Yet the CX/road is at least 10% faster than either of the MTBs on a flat road course.

Then see them try and explain why the journo was so much slower in terms of the bike
Cheers

Uh, it's not a youtube vid, and there are no adjustable settings. Tried it on a high speed office network and a cable home network.FatGuts wrote:Nobody wrote:Change the video settings to the lowest resolution?MattyK wrote:mmm, buffering. any way to watch that video without it pausing every 1.5 seconds?

It seems to be good now though...

Plus oneWyvernRH wrote:While obviously this was done for fun, I would have liked to have seen a run where the journo had the 6000 pounds worth of BMC and the track guy had a 400 pound (sterling) entry level road bike.
Then see them try and explain why the journo was so much slower in terms of the bike

The journo would have been thrashed.
