Worth remembering that common sense dictates to about 95% of the population that you don't ride a bike on a public road for any reason. This is a deplorable state of affairs, and one that has no resolution by implementing the ideas from jcj or twizzle.

Rule 258 does allow for some choice..... bell, horn, squeaker, maybe even whistle could work. However your voice will not stand up in court as a "device".
Maybe your Rule 259 is different to the Victorian Rule 259...... there are no options
