VRE wrote:Here's a beautiful bike. It's actually got numerous nicks and scratches, but faithfully carries me at least 300km every week, and has been doing so for almost 5 years. Due to wear and tear, the only original parts are the frame, handlebars, brifters and cranks. My pride and joy.

Bog standard bike really, what I cut my teenage cycling teeth on (metaphorically speaking).

On a positive note, things I like are single-colour paint schemes, straight-ish frame tubes (no curves or bumps), semi-compact geometry (slightly sloping top-tube) and wheels with shiny spokes and hubs and minimal (or no) aero .... and preferably no or minimal stickers/labels.

I think the 2014 model of Speed Concept range is out.
funny thing is... every manufacturer seems to bring out "the fastest bike in the world" or the "most aerodynamic"
in races theres only room for no#1 but i guess not in bike models and manufacturers
The red doesn't do it favours - but I do look at the Shiv with a rather envious eye.they look much better in black.
Like some people appreciate fast cars, I do the same with bikes.
