THE RACE starts this weekend.
What to do, I usually watch an hour or so (after tracking their progress on the TdF web site since SBS don't show the first half of the ride) and then tape the rest and watch it the next morning. Problem is we're having such a mild winter that I just HAVE to get out in the mornings and ride.
I can't wait until the evening to watch it because some bastard will tell me who won. Might have to brush the dust of the VCR at work and connect it up to a PC monitor and watch it at work.
Still, I rather this problem and a mild winter than no problem and a freezing winter like last year.
Dilemma!

But the weather is sooooo nice out for riding at the moment - about mid teens at 5:30am and we finish at a cafe over looking the ocean with views to Magnetic Island with the sun streaming through the palm trees.sogood wrote:Setup your indoor trainer in front of your TV/VCR. You can ride and watch at the same time.
If I didn't have to go home, have a shower and go to work it'd be perfect.
I think we can do better. I KNOW we can do better.

Set up your trainer on the verandah outside, facing the indoor TV.tuco wrote:But the weather is sooooo nice out for riding at the moment - about mid teens at 5:30am and we finish at a cafe over looking the ocean with views to Magnetic Island with the sun streaming through the palm trees...

I usually try to swap for day work, but I'm looking to try and get afternoons for the next three weeks.
Preferably between 12 and 2 pm so I'd be home around the 10pm start of the telecast, and still not have to get up too early the next day.
I've never watched the whole of the tour live but would like to this year if possible.
