Cyclecover insurance - seeking recent experience

I just received a quote for a friend from CCG today...
Postcode: 5211
Sum insured: $60k contents
Excess: $250
Premium: $45/m

How did you get a quote for contents only?

I had to get a quote for home and contents and the cheapest excess was $400

I submitted the details via their online quoting interface, and their salesman sent me a quote. He's an owner/occupier, with building insurance elsewhere, so not sure why I didn't have problems?

I'm an owner/occupier as well and have separate building insurance also...

I didn't think about people renting. I assumed that as they advertise it as home, contents and bike insurance they only do it as a complete package and can't get contents only cover.

Lesson learnt, don't assume!

portable (bikes ) $18k... full comp cover like it was a car
excess $600
premium $1415 pa.

The portable component for both bikes ran about $400 over the standard premium. Velosure was $500 for one bike.
