I need to ship a bike from Perth to Brisbane - any recommendations for a good courier?

I've used Smartsend and e-go, Mel-Bri and Mel-Syd with no dramas. Less than $50 each time IIRC.

on car forums http://www.e-go.com.au/ gets a really bad wrap !
It hasn't stopped me from sending two bike boxes (this year) alone and they have arrived successfully
I pay a bit extra on insurance(extra add on) just in case.
you get a really cheap price for depot to door
and a really really cheap price depot to depot (ie drop it off at your local depot and the receiver picks it up from their local depot)

I've sent and received quite a few bikes/frames/wheels with e-go, no issues to report.
