20k, is massive, very impressive. My average km per week is currently around 180, trying to push it up on the weekends. Might get to the 10k if I'm lucky.

Clicked over my 10K in style last weekend - with my tongue hanging out, in severe oxygen debt, at the Battle on the Border race on the Tweed Coast :)

Cracked out 7K+ thus far this year after having a big May and am fairly happy with my cycling - seemingly improving, albeit in baby-steps, all the time.

Hopefully, the weather in Vic wil continue to be kind.

I'm very impressed by some of the miles a few of you are accomplishing.

Keep up the good work all.

Great work Macca!
I'm a couple of days away from cracking 8k. I'm on track for about 19k but I'm finding it's hard to make up the distance if I take a couple of days off the bike.
We are having 2 weeks in Perth in Sept and I am starting to think about how I can keep the kms up!

Same here. Hopefully I can maintain the momentum. My wife has started working again so with the kids at school and me doing shift work and no one home on my midweek days off I should be able to crank out some consistant 250-300km weeks now...fingers crossed

Hey gabrielle260, Perth local here. If you're going to have bikes you're welcome to come join a South Perth Rouleurs group ride, they cater for a fairly wide range of speeds.

I may hit my 10,000th km for the year by the end of financial year, I better set about turning those pedals.

Thanks nitestick!
Is there anywhere that hires out half decent road bikes or should I pay the airline to bring mine?

I've never had to hire a bike, personally I'd be inclined to BYO as I love my loyal steeds. You could buy a cheap bike from Reid for probably about the cost of hiring one for two weeks as well.

I can highly recommend Cycle Centre in Hay St, at the eastern end of Perth CBD.
I hired a road bike from them for one week last month.
They have a fleet of Cannondales - alu frame with 105 - fairly new and very well maintained.
CAAD8 I think, and pedals of your choice too.

I’m sitting on 8,700km at present, but not aiming for any figure in particular this year.

Nice work Toyopet!

Been off the bike since Monday with dreaded ManFlu - bugger. Although I did pick up a win in the last stage in the Gippy 3-Day Tour in C-Grade that day, so it has enabled me to temper my frustration somewhat.

I'm hoping to get out in the morning and get the needle moving forward again...we shall see.

Keep up the good work all.

Good work Strydz - those blardy lurgies hit hard.

The weather down this end has been favourable, to say the least, thus far. I managed tick over 8K today in the Southern Masters Hcap race - it was a beautiful day - cold, but bright sunshine and a wisp of a breeze.

Keep up the good work all.

cheers

Great work - big numbers! I've also been somewhat unwell for the last few weeks so my kms/week have plummeted. I'm just above 8500km now.
