Mine is from a couple of scripts I cobbled together as a substitute for statmonkey's bar back when Strava restricted access to their API. It's a bit temperamental as it's just scraping stats from the athlete profile once a day, but if anyone wants one PM me your Strava ID and climb and/or distance goals and I'll set it up.

Thanks Saturn,

But we are referring to the target sig not the VV sig. where do you get the target one?

I'm setting myself a goal of 100 000 m. Seems like a nice round figure :D

Did my first real bit of climbing for the year this morning. Hopefully this and a planned ride on Sunday will get me back in front of the target.

The way you've started the year should see you smashing that goal. :D

I sure hope so! I'd like to do more but I'm being conservative because this could be a busy year for me with work, getting married, etc :)

Take it from me x-ray, getting married will REALLY eat into your mileage with all the preparations involved. So worth it in the end though :) . Mine even let me go for a ride on our honeymoon! .

....and that is nothing compared to what happens to your mileage when kids start appearing!

Haha  I have until Oct to pump in as many miles as I can! Luckily the soon-to-be Mrs X-ray and her friends love the wedding planning stuff so they're taking care of it. They don't trust me so I've been given some simple tasks to take care of. As long as the groomsmen and I have suits and the wedding cars are booked all will be good :D

I'm sure ld can put a kids trailer on the bike. Use the extra weight to really build the leg muscles climbing up and down Belthorpe :P

Finally did my STRAVA Gran Fondo challenge today. I did all the major climbs of Mt Mee. Lots of climbing involved but I fell short of 3000m by 13m

I did 215,000 vertical last year, but don't really want to set a goal for this year. I think it's more important to look at the quality of climbs, and I've set myself a challenge of nailing every HC climb in Victoria. There's 19 that I know of, and I have done 12 of these. Also aiming at doing as many new climbs which are over Category 3 as possible. Thankfully in Victoria there's no shortage of climbs:

It's been too hot to venture into the mountains during the day (last time I did some mountains to Glorious and back the ride averaged 40 degrees), I cbf before or after work or when I do get a day spare I've gone bike riding with my sister so I've been doing a lot of tempo/cruising around and really enjoying the night rides around Nudgee-City-Indro be it on the mtb or road bike. I'm gonna make a strava segment down those stairs on Turbot street. Pretty sure I set some trophy runs through the twisty and blind Boondall Wetlands in darkness *That was actually trophy runs on TT stages between Nudgee Beach and Lutyche. Nothing like averaging 40+kph solo*. Had an absolute ball hitting that section at speed not seeing what was around the corner. Once it starts to cool down I'll start pumping out some serious climbing.

Jason. How about I venture on over to the westside and do a few fast tempo night rides.

you're more than welcome to. but there's enough fast riders over this way to keep you challenged

That's fine with me but your top positions might take a hit :P
