Looked at all the outstanding component orders I have for it. Sighed at Cane Creek who would lose a race to a snail and a parked car in shipping a product.

Sent strongly worded emails to Korean stores who seem to be the only retailer of the derailleur hanger for my frame, and seems to have mis-posted my order.

Hey all,

First post here, brand new to cycling at the ripe age of 24, went for about my 3rd ride, only 28km, but can't wait to get going on some group rides around South-East Qld! Have realised the positives and negatives of wind also.

Cheers, Nick

Made room on my bars for my Ay-Up's.... difficult with 2 sets of K-Edge mounts (garmin + camera) + bell!

Trying to figure out and fix why my rear wheel pretty much rubs on the DS chain stay.
Not good.
Mate a photo of the Ayup adjusted cockpit please. Same issue for me since I bought KEdge mounts and ditched the ayup mount on each of my bikes.

finally getting used to the gearing of the new bike... nice long slog yesterday, realised i hate the standard saddle that comes on the bike and will be searching for a new more comfy saddle in the coming weeks...

Walked into the garage, grabbed the roadie off the rack and headed out the door to work after giving the tyres the squeeze test somewhat disappointed that junior woke too early and I couldn't get away for a longer ride.

Nice - did the same to mine yesterday... Coming down for the Masters Nationals KGB?

'fraid not. Can't justify more time off right now, especially when my form is pretty average!

Also got a new wheel delivered for my commuter, but need some rim tape too.

Got to test my roadside puncture-repairing skills after I picked up half a beer-glass (OK, slight
exaggeration, but only slight) in my front tyre 5 kays from home today.

In the rain...

Gotta love (NOT!) those who get their laughs breaking glass on roads & paths.

my GF decided to redecorate the lounge room over the weekend, she'd picked the colour scheme a while ago, not sure how long she has been sick of frames hanging about the spare room, but this is the result...

Din't quite have the heart to tell here i'd been secretly buying up bits to rebuild the yeti... oh well.

Loop the lake is approaching fast. The commuter roadie has been treated to new boots, new gloves, new hip and a new brain (tyres, bar tape, BB and computer). Finished this morning. Hope all the parts work on Sunday! Be ridden to work tomorrow to check it out.

A first for me - I replaced shocks and headset on my MTB. The old Rock Shox Judy XC (circa 2000 model) had blown a seal and since I had a spare set of Syncros in good condition, made the swap. Had to take the headset over as well so I learned how to remove and replace headset cups in the process. Go me!
Anyone want some old Rock Shocks to rebuild?
Yep, I have some bike.

That's ok, a Bianchi road bike would look good in its place.

new ultegra 6700 hood covers, after 45,000km.
how's everyone else go for wear and tear on these things?

btw, if they're getting loose-ish, try sticking them in boiling water for 5 minutes, then iced water for a minute, then re-install.
this worked on mine for around 2 months.

and as usual, WD-40 or motorcraft spray to flush and lube chain.....this chain has around 4000km on it and is just starting to move into 0.75% stretch.

And the 'Dale complements the cat wonderfully.

have spent the past 2 weeks trying to stop my brakes from rubbing. the rotor just doesn't want to be straight. on the work stand i can get them "ok" but as soon as a bit of heat gets to them, they turn into pretzels.

ironic part is the previous rotors were HS1 ebay copies, straight as a die. these rotors are legit HS1's (came with my BB7 S Road's) and they are as bent as elton john.
