Transporting bicycle interstate

Postby radical.haqer » Sat Jul 19, 2014 2:20 pm

Hey All,

I need some advice in regards to transporting my road bike from Melbourne to Sydney. Not really sure how do I go about this. Please share you experiences and any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I assume you wish to send it via road and you are not flying with it. Is that right? Either way you need to first pack up the bike in either a box (preferable for road transport) or a bike bag/case. You can get a box from your LBS. As to transport options, Greyhound is probably your best option or say someone like e-go or Pack n' Send. I would avoid SmartSend but.
