First 50klm ride
Postby len1266 » Mon Sep 15, 2008 10:32 pm
Well i've been riding for 4 1/2 wks now & just clocked up my first 50k ride.Unfortunately the M7 cycleway was like a wind tunnell on the way back.I don't think I would have made it without Not Fltying Scot who helped me limp the last couple of hills in a fairly strong wind. Now in a world of hurt & loving it.As they say no pain no gain.I hate hills & wind as I try to drag 100+kg's along.

I know what you mean. Wind is a pain. Good resistance training though!

The headwind back was a killer . I forgot to hit the lap button on the comp so I don't have a figure for speed each way, but I remember when we got to Prestons my average was 32.4kph. At the end of the ride it was 30.1kph, so about 28kph average on the way back. Bloody fast considering .len1266 wrote:Thanks mate. How did you find the wind on the way back?near killed meBoognoss wrote:You did extremely well mate. 10 out of 10 for effort .

Nice effort Len, pity 'bout the wind.

Well done Len, that was a tremendous effort last night. I'm not going to say anything bad about the wind, not yet anyway
