Mine is the same. At the moment I couldnt give a rats about pro.... in my opinion if you're comfy you are more likely to get on the bike and ride... plenty of time for pro.rodneycc wrote:Thanks mate, just don't look too closely at the stack height. Not very Pro but nice and comfy but.....
Wheels compliment the bike well

Cheers Rodney !rodneycc wrote:They are ripping bikes Defy Composite's. As a matter of fact a lot of my PBs on Strava are still with my old 2012 Defy Composite.
I definitely love my Defy, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. A mate of mine has the Propel and he still loves riding his Defy. My rides are never less than 30km usually and so I prefer something suited to endurance riding as I plan on riding further distances as I go along and comfort is more important than performance for me at this point, although the performance is a step up from my Hybrid Giant Roam !

Not a purchase but a nice little hire bike from Cycles Galleria Ringwood. Trek Domane SL 6 with the dual isospeed decouplers. A big thanks to Billy who has been looking after me down there. Another one to tick off my list. Would make an excellent commuter this bike I reckon. Actually smoother than my two Ti bikes. I wouldn't buy one though because of the BB issues and seatpost doesn't really play well with my selle smps! But the first hour on it was pretty damn good.

What did the frameset cost you? If i may be so rude. The website doesn't give away prices, so i assume pricey.

Hey, i'd recommend e-mailing them (Tom) and get them to send you an information and pricing booklet. I paid $5,500 which is RRP for the frameset. They are great to work with and communication was easy.booge wrote:Nice Aura,

I've only done a 45 km river loop but if I had to describe the ride/bike, i'd say 'smooth' and 'elegant.' I though Dura-Ace shifting was good but Super Record is something else. I've never had nice wheels before so I noticed straight away how easily they spun up and how easy it was to maintain speed. Braking was exceptional.
After waiting over three months from finalising frame specs, looking at the various components for three months and finally having it built up, I've been smiling 24 hours straight since the first ride.

This is what came to mind when I saw your bikefamilyguy wrote:Amended the commuter with a new Tiagra take-off groupset scored at 3/5 of new price on the 'Bay. Also switched to the XLR8 Rouleur/5700 wheelset that has been hanging around doing nothing for 12 months. Extra links will go in the chain tonight then it will be rolling.

Thought I would share my wooden bike. Took me about 7 months to make. I only got the chance to work on it on weekends.
