next time, use a flash to fill the bike with light... You'll still get the effect of the low orange sun but will also light up the bike to show us your pride and joy.

It is now I have the 29er, the road bike doesn't go this way. It's a short section through some local parkland. There's a few trails that intersect about the place and a bmx track that add up to somewhere between 1 and 2 km depending on which turns I take. Enough for a bit of fun and confidence building on the way home. Only been there a few times so still working out where all the bits are and go. Might spend a bit of time down there one day trying to take every turn and let the garmin map it all out for me.

I know I should cut the steerer, but every time my mate's working at his bike shop, I can't get in there to see him and vice versa.

Come on Mark, admit it. You'd be happy to stoke for Monica Belluci on that!

Hi everyone, I'm a photographer doing a long term project photographing cyclist and their cycles. So I thought I'd share, no point in taking photos to look at yourself. The idea is to show the diversity of cycling in Australia, mainly focusing on all the people who just use their bikes for getting from one place to the next as opposed to us "cyclists" who crank out 10000k's a year, although I will be including us. I'll eventually use the shots for some cycle advocacy or maybe a book. I'll post a couple of shots a week (if that's OK). I posted a shot in the fixies forum but some of the people over their were a bit personal in comments about the subject, which obviously I have to avoid since when I photograph people they're trusting me to look after the 'image' I take of them, a lot of them are quite reluctant to be photographed in the first place. They would be most upset if they found out that the image had been posted to forums where people made fun of them, and rightly so. So if you comment keep it nice.

Anyway I'm off down to Jarvis Bay to ride ride the Huskisson Triathalon course this weekend so I'll be photographing in the area hoping to get some road riders, they're not a bunch who like to be photographed so if there's any riders down there and I ask to photograph you please say yes.

I agree, love the diversity idea! What about setting up a separate thread for your pics or even others' pics of this type as well? Obviously in a positive, not stick-poking way!

I love seeing photos of other peoples bikes (and their owner's), this is one of my favourite threads, keep 'em coming, the more the better.
