I commute with an 11 year old Lemond Buenos Aires during the week so i've treated myself to something nice for the weekends. A Lynskey R230. It's running a 105 groupset, the wheels are Shimano's bottom of the rungs to get me up and running straight away while i wait on some Rolf Aspins to arrive. I've wanted a Ti bike for as long as i can remember, i'm not disappointed.

















I think this is the last time it will ever be so clean.

Thanks for the welcome I took it out for its first proper ride this morning, an hour and a half to make sure everything was bolted up right after doing all the adjustments the other day. Wonderful ride as is the Lemond but quite different in the position you take on the bike.

However I got it elsewhere at a much cheaper price, a special they did for me. Beware if purchasing, the Garmin mount seems to be an extra and might not be standard.

Introducing my new riding suit. Beat that with all those oh-so-same lame team suits you lycra boys you!

So not really a pic of my new bike but not worth a thread of it's own, so I have posted here.

My kids don't give dad the usual Homer Simpson singlets. No, not m y kids! My eldest gave me a skeleton morph suit for Christmas just for the tall unicycle.

But it introduces a lot oa unfamiliarities for freemounting - changes in grip of hands onto seat, how well it holds inside the crocs, visibility, tightness, crutch catch on the seat - all issues that make a freemount all the more difficult.

Anyway, managed the freemounts - first time and the next two as well - but I found that I could only see a narrow view - and that was greatly compromised by the peripheral glare. Probably better to use when the sun is high.

Yeah Dimma, outrageous that you didn't supply an audited by treasury itemised breakdown of what your BH cost. o__O

Personally, I'd like to see these costings include such items as the electrical tape used to finish bar tape - please ensure you measure and round up to the nearest centimetre.

The problem with all these nice bikes is that any time you ride them, you've got to be hammering along - otherwise other riders will utter the inevitable snarky remarks.
