Hey Jase, how do you find the GP4000s compared to the gators as far as ride and rolling resistance, handling, puncture resistance is concerned? Is it noticeable?

sorry this is no Jase's opinion. I find GP4000 just as reliable, but definitely grippier than the gators. After over a thousand of Km's, I finally found cuts on the GP.

Interesting, thanks for your opinion. Considering them for my next tire choice thats all.

GP4000's are a softer compound.

Therefore, they are more grippy, and more supple when riding, however this comes at reduced tyre longevity, and less puncture resistance.

Definately one for the roadie/weekend warrior.

I would still ride gators on the daily or fixed gear or whatever for the longer lasting harder compound... However this comes at a cost. They aren't that grippy, especially if you corner hard enough to lean onto the threads on the sidewall, and in the wet they are dangerous in general ha ha

Ive only put 100kms on them so far, definitely feels more grippier. Cant comment on much else yet!

pretty sure there are plenty of threads on them though =)

I haven't put in a photo of my bikes here yet.

Here's my 2011 Giant TCR1 that I picked up in the last year runout sales in March.

I'll only accept cf cable ties

The white sauce cable ties on my comp. do stand out like the proverbial from the front.

Heading out to the shed now with scissors and black cable ties!
