what did the beast costed you ? $6KFezz wrote:Ok, so fitted the new parts this evening... Fulcrum Racing 3's with GP4000S tyres, Look Keo 2 Carbon pedals, 3T ARX Team stem, 3T Ergosum Team bars, Fizik tape, 3T Dorico seat post, Selle Italia SLR Fibra saddle. Also fitted a complete new set of Campy gear and brake cables.
Still gotta play around with seat height and stem/bar height, etc.
Please disregard upside down cage as I have to re drill them so they actually fit.

Usually I don’t comment on other ppl bikes, but this is one damn beautiful Pina, my favourite colour combination, combination of parts is just fantastic, all to my very demanding taste and loves those cranks..........pure Italian mean machine....When I was buying my S2 this was only machine that I was considering apart from S2, but as I was riding Soloist before that was only reason not to go with Pina.....If I have chance to put this together I will change nothing but seat (to my favourite Fizik Aliante and wheels (from Fulcrum range))...........mate, you have fantastic machine there, just go out and race bloody thing!Fezz wrote:Ok, so fitted the new parts this evening... I'm pretty sure I saw you at the Prestons end of the cycleway yesterday. I commented to Spiz and Zozz what a nice bike that was and that "I think that might have been Fezz, hasn't he got a new bike ?? " Eyecatching ride.

Chad, the MOst stuff is actually heavy compared to other aftermarket options, and I prefer the look of the 3T stuff with this colour frame.
Wayfarer, pedals are Look Keo 2 Max carbon.
Thanks guys, I always like my stuff looking good as well so tried to get the colour schemes working together with the tape and saddle.
The camera is a Nikon digital SLR with a SB800 flash bounced off the roof, nothing special.

Also, the capo pro is a really, nice and stiff frame. Enjoy it

Im not sure how but that above quote generally leads to a fixie build in the near future...stnfldr wrote:Ha ha, the chain is fitted now. It looks pretty nice, but its very standard. Apart from the wheels, I think this is exactly how they were sold, but building it has all been about learning. I think I am ready to tackle somthing a little bit more interesting.

Actually, I put slicks on my mtb with no tubes and they were the easiest install ever. They're Continental City Contact reflex.

Upgraded to the roadie in March 09 to do the 250klm Bay in a Day in October.
The Hasa has been replaced with this little gem as of today.
Fulcrum Racing 5 Wheelset, shimano 105 5700 groupset, FSA Carbon Compact Crank, new bottle cages, seat bag, computer etc..
..But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!
