Latest ride :- 2010 Colnago EPS aka the 'Painted Pony' - AK00 paint scheme size 52s

The sportiest of the Colnago lugged carbon frames I've ridden yet.

I just got my first bike.. A Reid Urban X1. New to riding, only started riding again after 25 years (having never had the chance to take off my training wheels at a young age due to stopping riding)

Image

I find it weird that this forum doesn't have a specific section for Reid - is there some sort of boycott?

Reid are a pretty popular brand due to their afordability. Imo they have stepped up their better equipped bikes. Maybe you vould start a reid thread?

Personaly whilst i havnt bought a complete reid bike i do use them a lot for parts. Periodicly they have some very well priced bits. Such as $5.00 tires for my 26er.

I also find more value buying 2nd hand bikes and nearly bought a used reid falco a little while back.

Very nice Jason. Is that stem kinda short or is it the angle...that'd be a 56 frame?

No wonder it looks short. I have a 100 on a 51, and I'm wondering about a longer unit.

Good value those Boardmans :D

But yes, that stem looks very short. I guess I'm so used of looking at 130 and 140mm stems all the time - and some of those bikes are so aggressively setup even I couldn't ride them.

Some teams are getting arbitrary stem lengths, eg, 121mm for instance. Good luck for any of us getting such precise lengths. I have a 110mm and could probably do a 130mm and angle the saddle down a tiny bit. I like that stretched out riding position.

Obtained my dream bike about a month ago. I'd always wanted to own a Look. I picked this 2010 Look 595 Cofidis Pro Team off BikeExchange. SRAM Red, Campag Shamal Rims. It rides like a dream.

Three years ago I had to relocate to Hong Kong where road cycling isnt exactly safe, so I had to sell my CAAD10 and give up cycling for the time being.
Now that i've moved back to Melbourne, I can get back on the saddle!
Here is my new BMC TimeMachine TMR02.

Went on 40km ride the other day and had a blast! However my avg speed was waaaaaay lower than what it was 3 years ago :( Time to get my ass on the saddle!
The stem will soon be flipped and lowered by one or two spacers.

Noice!

(Yeah, that happens with not riding. 3 months a father and off the bike dropped my FTP by ~50W)
