6.69kg as in the photos:

I took it out this morning, I didn't expect the wheels to make it feel that different to what it was before with the standard Giant wheels.

I reckon you can save more weight if you replace inner tubes with shorter valves.

Just finished the build of my Genesis Equilibrium, 50th present to myself, getting old now so comfort is quite a priority!
Image
Genesis 725 Reynolds steel frame the colour is "Blue Monday "(great song from the 80's!)
Carbon fork and seat post
Campy Athena 11sp compact
Velo Orange Grand Cru brakes (the Campy's were too short a drop )
H Plus Son rims laced to Novatec hubs
Schwalbe One 28c tyres
Image
Image
Only done 50k's shake down ride, first impression is how smooth it rides and how immediately comfortable I was, can't wait to get it out and do some serious Km's.

THIS. The very essence of new cycling style. It manages to be at once restrained, tasteful as well as balls-out aggro, all at the same time.

That's a bloody big range cassette though?

Cheers mate, less blingy than last ride but I love it.
It's an 11-36T cassette which is enough for most climbs.

I don't know what it is, but I like it.
The purists will struggle with the concept, but I'm very happy with the build and how it performs.

The blue really pops nicely in the dreary weather. Probably pops for thieves in a bike rack too though :(

My new warranty replacement frame for an older 2013 TCR that "broke".
This one is the current top-of-the-line model. I'm still amazed by the painless and joyful claim process.
Two and a half weeks from emailing photos of the old bike to LBS and no questions asked forwarding, transfer of parts and delivery to me from Giant and LBS of the new one. Nobody even inspected the old frame in person.
Grateful thanks to Garry at Rivierra Cycles (Bairnsdale) and Giant.
Excellent service.

Image

I wouldn't mind some snappier wheels but the existing stock ones have been exceptionally good and compare favourably in weight to DA9000 C24's.
Big stack of steerer spacers but I'm still customising the fit. Looks tons better in real life than this poorly composed shot.
It rides like a dream.

Looks very good, nice colours and graphics on it too. Giant can be hit and miss sometimes, but that's nice. :)

Agree on the wheels, Giant PSLR wheels are good, my TCR SL1 has those. And my SL3 (also on Dura Ace 9000) has Xentis 2.5 SL carbon clinchers which are very light (seemingly excellent wheels).

The Xentis ones are lighter and you can feel it up hill, but they also seem to improve the ride quality, that's the nicest bonus when you do heaps of riding like I do.

Nothing against the stock Giant wheels, I gave them heaps of kms.

Just out of curiosity g-boaf, how is the rear drive-side dropout looking on your TCR's?
Mine seemd to wear very quickly ie. less than 15,000km's.

Just finished this rebuild of a 1984 Raleigh Grand Mesa mixte. I fitted a 4 speed shimano gear hub, and auto-d automatic shifting, also chain and crankset from shimano coasting bikes.
