Simply, because they are crap at their purported role. Far better to get some reflex tape and apply it to the rims as I have on my commuter.

Not a legal requirement past the shop door either.
I have them on my commuter and they are great. At night riding on MTB tracks my bike stands out through the trees lit up with bike lights. On the road they are even better.

Thanks mate, it's just a pity it's been off the road since mid December with another busted back wheel :(

That WR Compositi is a work of art. I trust you keep this in a climate-controlled display case.

My 2011 Avanti Giro 3.

Upgrades include:
- 2012 Fulcrum Racing 3 wheel set
- Michelin Racing 3 tyres
- And Red Bar Tape (Not white because I ain't pro yet lol)

Keeping me satisfied until I upgrade to my Fondriest TF3 or Cervelo carbon road bike later this year....

The bike belongs in a velodrome, not speeding downhill.

Not sure if they allow geared bikes with brakes in a velodrome!

It looks like your mate slices the air very nicely. It's a shame that I don't have the glutes, quads and lungs to ride those bikes

Madone 5.2 2013.

I also thought the kids cubby house would be a better back drop than a garage door!
