LOL...yeah, NO.

Some one must have a photo of a new bike. Otherwise I'm going to go hunting for a photo of my dream bling bike and post it up here. I haven't seen many Focus bikes in this thread, some people out there must have some. They are considered the best performance "plastic" bikes going around, so they're worth showing off. Much better than any show pony Pinarelos, Wilier and LOOK where it's a case of aesthetics over substance.
I'm with ya, lets see some more FOCUS' on here 8)

I picked them up for a smidge over $1700 locally in Adelaide.

Go nuts Briz, if it helps keep you sane while you're off the bike we're happy to be part of the process :D

well i'd take the venge - it looks serious. the propel is just a whole lot of straight lines.
have ridden the venge and enjoyed every minute of it
unless luke gives me a ride of his, i won't be changing my opinion

That's why the Propel looks do good to me. The straight lines.

Sloping top tubes are for girls bikes and mixte's :P

It could do with a break up of colour though.

I'm so over the "stealth" look. It's so cliche.

+1, the top model with blue highlights on the frame and fork looks MUCH better IMO.

I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the Propel, or most Giants for that matter.
I agree, the Venge does look very serious and aggressive. But it looks too much like a hulking monster of a bike for me.
I do like the look of the Scott Foil,

I don't think you'll fit my propel Jason. The stem is slammed and the seat is about 1.25m off the ground :P

Yep. The Black/Blue frame looks great.

Photos don't really do the Propel justice but they are really a nice bike to look at in person. If you chuck on some 60-80mm wheels the propel looks even better. The newer ones now come with Zipp 404's so the price has increased a few grand as a result and you can now buy the fameset rather than a whole bike. Ditching the white bar tape and going with the black/black strip or black/white strip seats also makes the bike look better (The store didn't have the black/black or black/white stripe available when I got my bike :(). I've seen the SL0 and SL1 but I haven't seen anyone on a SL2 yet (SRAM groupset with black/red livery - same as the black/blue SL0 but the blue parts are red).

The 2014 models.

They have also released a non SL version with a different colour scheme and groupsets. Not a fan of the liveries but I like the looks. All them lines! A black/white version would look pretty good on the Advanced's. The seat post isn't integrated so that might be an advantage for some. The groupsets are the new 11 speed Ultegra Di2 and the mechanical Ultegra. The mechanical version would retail for $4300 with the Di2 600-700 more.

Looking at and riding are two complete different things. Some things that the propel is excellent at imo is when it comes to freewheeling, aerodynamics and stability in higher speeds. Its mind boggling how easily you can coast that thing at speed and throw it left and right. Once you get up into the 80-100kph mark its still responsive as if you were doing 50kph. You can see how slippery it is when looking front on.

Still aerodynamic enough unless youre of the heavier built type :P Whack you knees under the top tube, move back in the seat, lean down enough so sometimes your stomach touches the seat, arms low tucked beside you with elbows to knees, chin mm off from touching the stem and before you know it you're breaking the speed limit. I've freewheeled from Camp Constable on top of Mt Glorious to the welcome sign and managed to break the speed limit the process. I would honestly love to give that bike a full on attack down a good descent and really see how far I could push it into the triple digits   8)

Maybe we should take the discussion, and web photos, of good looking areo bikes in to a separate thread, as it sort of takes away from the spirit of this thread.

I'll start a new thread, feel free to move the discussion there if you want to keep it going, other I'll just up my post count.

Yuuuup. Alien :P Ages ago someone said I would look like Alien if I wore a long TT helmet (I'm tall and skinny) and then one day I came across that in google images and it had to be my avatar :P

They had a Propel Advanced SL with Dura-Ace Di2 in the Giant Sydney store when I got my TCR SL3. Thing was blue and black and really looked a treat. :)
