It is for me. It just looks too busy. Stickers on wheels, frame, seat post, cranks, chain ring, stem and brifters. :)

I dont expect there is a huge amount you can do. All that high end gear seems festooned with decals announcing itself to the world.

I agree that's an excellent photo OR. Great composition. great light, and I like that you've got everything in pretty sharp focus. I've never bought a dig cam so don't know their aperture limits, but in the days of film, it was hard to get depth of field in low light without a longer time exposure.

Here's my one ride.

Mixture of 8 speed Campagnolo Athena and Record, she piloted on its maiden voyage today - hours later she is still smiling. A convert to steel bikes and their comfort.

50mm, 1272g ex rim tape, ~$680 inc freight and paypal fees.

Have put around 700km on them now at crits, road races, and group rides. No problems whatsoever, so far.
Still true as, even after hitting several moderate potholes in a road race.
Ceramic bearings spin very nicely. Acceleration is significantly less effort than my previous 600g heavier Bontrager Race L's.

I've lived with a D700 for 4 years now and learnt a trick or two with D70, D200, D300 prior to my beloved D700. But an SLR bod+lens/es is hardly the way to go for photographic portability whilst riding at a 'sprited' pace...... My mobile phone is next to useless at metering a scene so I treated myself to a very compact P&S for the back pocket - literally. These cameras have their limitations but given reasonable natural light and an aperture shut down to f/8 (35mm equiv) they expose well and capture enough detail at base ISO to keep me happy.......

They've got a sizable drop Foo, but are set for the drops and not the bar or hoods. I can stay on the drops for 20 minutes in reasonable comfort.
The reach is longer too, which I wanted so as to test a flatter position.

Thinner tubing so not as comfortable to hold, but have adapted.
When I get out of the saddle, there's not as much to grab, but getting used to that too.
I like the ergo/anatomic flat spot more than rounded bars.

Cost me $10 used from LBS, and they're 100g lighter than my Bontrager originals and most carbons.

What's words of wisdom does the old silver fox have?

Actually the sales person requested my wallet straight up before i rode it .(for his own assurance i wouldn't ride off with it).

And by the justification in my own mind, that by selling the Cosmic Elites that came on it I can recoup some monies, especially as ive already got the Carbones and some other rims id rather use anyway.
