To set off the gorgeous red frame of a very pretty machine. Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Romper! now stiff yet vertically compliant
Re: Bike Gallery
That is one sexy looking bike. 2010 BMC SLC01
Re: Bike Gallery
If its any consolation it rides as well as, if not better, than it looks........dont supose that is any consolation is it?? I was actually a little worried when I bought it as I am lucky enough to get to ride some top end bikes from time to time, so putting my own money down made me a little nervous about whether I would be disappointed or not. So far Im very happy.
Re: Bike Gallerywhere do you balance the shopping?
no seriously if you were riding past on that and Jen Hawkins was walking on the other side of the road in a bikini i'd get dizzy and fall over. Last edited by jules21 on Thu Apr 15, 2010 4:00 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Bike GalleryHas anyone else thought that BMC have taken a bit of a design cue from GT?

Re: Bike Gallery
There's nowhere to balance it, thus, the bike is useless. Better just give it to me instead. edit: Someone mixed up the keys on my keyboard (again) 2010 BMC SLC01

Re: Bike Gallery
Baldy, Its alos available in black with white/ orange accents and white with blue accents
Re: Bike Gallery
Very nice bike; how is the ride comfort like?
Re: Bike Gallery
Its really good actually, even with a fairly minimalist saddle on. That said it is a race bike so is not meant to be an armchair ride but doesnt feel as harsh or as twitchy as some Ive ridden. My previous was a Specialized Tarmac E5 S-Works and this is every bit as comfortable, but lighter and more responsive and I think suits me and my riding style better than the Specialized which was already a great bike. It is a bit wanky riding it in training with the Zipps on, but I havent got any spare wheels for it yet, but it absolutely humms along at speed with the Zipps on so its going to be hard to take them off when I do get some spares. Im supposed to be getting a Specialized SL3 to play with in a week or so so it will be intersting to see how this compares, especially on bang for buck as the Specialized is quite a few $$ more. Narrowly avoided a crash in front of me this morning and the whole time as I was watching the girl in front fall, I was just worried about my bike. Im so ashamed!
Re: Bike GalleryRoxii, clearly your BMC doesn't look good, quite bland in fact. Therefore I give you the proposal of a trade. What sort of trade you may ask? Well, the trade involves me trading my lovely, battle scarred, red Pinarello Opera with more than a thousand stories to tell which will keep you entertained for years for your drab and ugly BMC. I've noticed that when ever I roll out of the front door on the trusty Pinny I can come home with a story to tell.
Anyway, all seriousness aside, read my post "it's meant to be ridden..." in the general discussion if you ever find yourself treating your pride and joy like glass. Enjoy! Princess

Re: Bike GalleryHow you getting all these bikes roxii??? i would love an SL3
Re: Bike GalleryChaderotti it is getting ridden dont worry, if you look you'll see a rear light, front Ayup mount, and of course my spares bottle. None of which are "Euro Approved Cool Accesories" but necessasry nonetheless. Also I did mention Im even training on the zipps too.
Its only clean cause thats how I like to keep my bikes, just cause they are clean doesnt mean they dont get dirty. My car however is filthy.
Perks of my "part time" job. As I said in my intro profile thingy, I have a 2nd job that has me involved in cycling, but dont worry Im not selling anything!
Re: Bike Gallery
Very nice - The Zipps look awesome on that frame, hopefully it looks just as flash with a standard set of wheels (ie not deep dish) Soul make great lightweight wheels at 1330g for complete aluminium wheelset 25mm rim depth (race legal!) Actually all their wheels are good quality, cheap and look the part... (I'm not a soul sales rep I swear! just a happy customer) Soul Wheels
Re: Bike Gallery![]() My new frame 2008/09 Giant TCR C1 - It will be built on Sunday 18/04/2010. Unfortunatley it will be built with 6500 ultegra groupo and stock Shimano WH550 wheels (until my new Soul wheels arrive and I learn how to transfer cassettes from wheel to wheel) The next step is to get the new wheels on aand then look at a new groupo. The guy who had the frame before me was running Campy record and plastered the bike with Campy stickers (not a good look when your running old shimano gearing) so It's either strip the stickers off or get some campy gear? Hmmm that BMC is a hard act to follow...
Re: Bike Gallery
Campy on a Giant? REPENT! I kid, I kid. Who slaps campy stickers all over their bike Princess
