What's the deal with the red spokes on each wheel? I see that they line up with the valve stem, but I'm curious if that's their only purpose?Crittski wrote:Built this up on the weekend...
On the stem - it's comfy at that height. That's all I care about .bosvit wrote:Nice bike Simon. I love my Trek roadie/commutersnark wrote:A pic just before today's ride:

Quick put your armour on!
Incoming slam that stem and gee what a big saddle bag comments are imminent!

On the saddle bag. I got caught once with two flats on the one ride, so I want a bag big enough to two tubes, and a couple of tubes take up more space than they seem like they should. I hate carrying stuff in my jersey pockets, so big ol' ugly saddle bag it is.
Cheers,
Simon.
+1 in defence of the properly sized saddle bag! And for having a Trek - seems they are a rare thing these days.snark wrote:A pic just before today's ride:

As a concept, it is just extending the utility of Rule #40...*DavidTomic wrote:What's the deal with the red spokes on each wheel? I see that they line up with the valve stem, but I'm curious if that's their only purpose?
(Not complaining or criticising in any way ... I'm just genuinely curious! )
