just got my bike for a couple months.
i really want to participate this year ride2work day.
i live in maribyrnong vic, and work in south melb(near albert park/clarendone st) area. i love to know what's the best path (less car) to get there. I'm thinking of going along the m'nong river to f'cray rd, and go along there to s'th melb.
any guidance/suggestion would be much appreciated.
thanks.

www.whereis.com.au to get the basic directions, then use google streetview to check out the route and find alternatives for any sections with high traffic/narrow lanes.
As you are from Melb, you might want to ask this question on the www.bv.com.au site.

I ride, therefore I am. But don't ride into harm's way.

Check to see if anyone rides that route at bikely.com I found my route to work there. It turns out a guy that used to work in my dept. was a keen cyclist and lived near to me (and posted on bikely). You might be surprised at what you'll find.

I wouldn't mind volunteering to act as a ride guide for a newbie on that day.
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
